We are looking for a Software Engineer, DevOps (Robotics Infrastructure) who will be responsible for designing and deploying on-premise architectures for our Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) solutions and factory automation services.
This role demands someone who is highly independent, resourceful, and thrives on solving complex problems in constrained environments. You will learn through every challenge, turning each obstacle into a stepping stone for improving future deployments.
✅Design & Adapt On-Premise Architecture for AMRs & Factory Sites
Take existing cloud-native services and redesign them for isolated, factory-grade environments.
Account for air-gapped networking, industrial security constraints, and limited external dependencies.
Build reliable, self-contained deployment bundles optimized for factory on-premise infrastructure.
✅Install & Deploy at Customer Factory Sites
Prepare offline installation packages and deploy them on highly controlled industrial networks.
Set up and validate services that integrate with AMR fleets, sensors, and manufacturing systems.
Document the deployment process for repeatability and future scale-up.
✅Troubleshoot & Resolve Complex Issues
Act as the primary troubleshooter when issues occur during or after on-site deployments.
Perform in-depth debugging across networking, Kubernetes clusters, and application layers.
Implement quick hotfixes and long-term solutions to ensure stability in factory operations.
✅Learn, Document & Improve
Treat every deployment issue as a learning opportunity—analyze, document, and share insights.
Build a knowledge base of recurring problems and proven solutions for future engineers.
Continuously improve on-premise deployment processes and toolchains.
✅Tech Stack
- Infrastructure & Automation: Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes
- Languages for Tools & Scripts: Python, Go
- Build & Packaging: Bazel
- Environment: Air‑gapped AMR factory sites, isolated Kubernetes clusters, secure industrial networks
✅Solid experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
✅Proficiency in Python or Go for building automation scripts and troubleshooting tools.
✅Experience working with air-gapped, on-premise industrial environments.
✅Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and containerized services.
✅Ability to work independently, self-learn from new challenges, and adapt quickly.
✅Comfortable working in factory or industrial settings, integrating with AMR systems and related services.
✅Experience re-architecting GCP services (e.g., GKE, Pub/Sub, CloudSQL) into on-prem or open-source equivalents.
✅Experience deploying Kubernetes in air-gapped industrial environments.
✅Familiarity with offline container registries and package distribution.
✅Knowledge of factory networking, industrial security, and edge computing.
✅Prior exposure to AMR systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), or OT/IT integrations.
