**About Kaya AI**
Kaya AI is a pre-seed startup transforming the construction supply chain and procurement through smart, intuitive technology. After two successful years, our production app is live, and we partner closely with industry-leading companies. As we scale thoughtfully, we aim to deeply integrate cutting-edge AI technology into how the construction industry collaborates and builds.
We are now looking for an exceptional **Forward Deployed Engineer** based in Korea to join us, working directly with our founding engineer. This unique hybrid role combines software engineering, customer success, and product management—perfect for someone technically talented, socially skilled, and comfortable in client-facing interactions.
**Who We're Looking For**
This isn’t a typical engineering job. You'll be at the intersection of client interaction, technical problem-solving, and product innovation. You’ll thrive in this role if:
- You're technically proficient, particularly with Python, React, and Next.js, and can rapidly prototype and iterate based on direct client feedback.
- You're socially confident, excellent at communication, and comfortable engaging with clients regularly in Busan.
- You have a strong product mindset, capable of gathering insights directly from clients, turning requirements into demos, and clearly communicating feedback to engineering and design teams.
- You're excited about occasional travel within Korea (particularly Busan) to maintain close client relationships and ensure project success.
- You have strong English proficiency to communicate effectively with the broader Kaya AI team, alongside your native Korean fluency.
**Your Role & Responsibilities**
- Serve as Kaya AI's primary technical point of contact for clients in Korea, regularly traveling to Busan to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the founding engineer to rapidly build, demo, and iterate on product features based on direct client insights.
- Collaborate actively with clients to identify pain points, define requirements, and translate these needs clearly back to the product and engineering teams.
- Participate actively in product design discussions, leveraging your intuitive understanding of UI/UX to guide product enhancements.
- Use AI-driven engineering workflows (GPTs, Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, solve challenging problems, and deliver innovative solutions quickly.

**Your Background**
- **Engineering (3-5 Years)**: Strong experience with Python, React, and Next.js. Proven track record shipping production-quality software.
- **Client-Facing Skills**: Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to confidently represent Kaya AI in client interactions.
- **Product Mindset**: Demonstrated ability to translate client requirements into actionable tasks, build prototypes, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- **Language Proficiency**: Native-level Korean proficiency and working proficiency in English.
- **AI-Forward Thinking**: Familiarity with and active use of AI-enhanced workflows, keeping abreast of the latest industry tools and trends.

- Experience or genuine interest in construction, supply chain, procurement, or related industries.
