Vision Get Wild (VGW) 2023 Cross-Domain Category Gold Award

Our virtual reality (VR) submission was awarded the first place in the Cross-Domain Category at the Vision Get Wild (VGW) Awards in Kaohsiung. VGW is the most iconic digital cross-field design competition event in Taiwan, which is organized by Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs and implemented by TAIC. With emphasis on visual art, animation, game, cross field collaboration, software application, and film, the event is hosted annually with a variety of activities including exhibition, forum, competition, and matchmaking. It's a platform for Taiwanese students to present their works and an opportunity to communicate with experts from those professional fields. Pixar and Blizzard, for example, have joined the event in the past years.

Alice in Gravityland: Augmenting Gravity Experiences with Around-the-Head Vibrotactile Feedback and Illusory Tactile Motion
Alice in Gravityland is a short virtual reality (VR) experience in which players encounter altered forms of gravity, coupled with vibrotactile feedback on the head to improve their sense of directionality. This project has been accepted to and featured at SIGGRAPH 2023 in Los Angeles.
